GenTent's story began with the lack of viable, affordable products that could allow for the safe operation of a generator in rain or wet weather. A generator tent provides a solution by enabling the safe storage of the power source outside, reducing the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning.

GenTent's unique features include its ability to withstand up to 18 inches of snow load and protect the generator in up to 12 inches of rain per hour. The entire unit, comprising a flame-retardant (NFPA 701) canopy and component pieces, is made of 100% waterproof dual-coated marine vinyl with welded seams.

Independently lab tested and storm-proven, GenTent is rated for up to 70 mph forecast winds, hurricane-force precipitation (12 inches per hour), and an 18-inch snow load (55 lbs.). The patented self-attaching system makes installation easy, requiring no tools.

The three-step installation process involves clamping the system to the generator's existing frame, mounting the dual cast fiberglass rods to the clamp system, and covering the frame with the waterproof dual-coated canopy. This design maintains the generator's cooling profile while providing full protection.

GenTent offers three product kits to accommodate different generator types: the Generator Universal Kit for open-frame generators, the Generator Inverter Kit for fully encased inverter generators, and the Generator XL Kit for larger portable generators.

The Generator Universal Kit is suitable for open-frame generators of various sizes, with perimeters ranging from 76 to 104 inches. The Generator Inverter Kit is designed for inverter generators of all sizes, from 1000W to 9500W, and can be easily removed while fully assembled. The Generator XL Kit is tailored for larger portable generators with perimeters ranging from 105 to 128 inches.

All GenTent kits feature the patented self-attaching clamp system and can accommodate round or squared vertical frame posts, including those blocked by muffler heat shields or lower electrical panels.
